Due to continued expansion we are recruiting a qualified accountant with strong tax experience to work across accounts, tax compliance and tax advisory. This is a client-facing role with excellent exposure to owner-managed businesses, family companies and high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting (Financial & Management Reporting)
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements for a wide range of SME and corporate clients.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts.
Tax Compliance – CGT, CAT, Income Tax, Corporation Tax & VAT
- Manage a portfolio of corporate tax, income tax and VAT compliance clients.
- Review of corporation tax and income tax ensuring deadlines are met.
- Prepare CGT and CAT computations and returns, including use of relevant exemptions and reliefs.
- Review clients’ affairs to ensure ongoing tax efficiency and compliance under all relevant tax heads.
Tax Advisory – Restructures, Reliefs, Succession & Research
- Advise on CGT and CAT planning, including the application of all relevant reliefs and exemptions.
- Work on company and group restructurings, including share reorganisations, demergers and business transfers.
- Assist in succession planning for family businesses and private clients (including wills, gifting strategies and business transition).
- Undertake detailed tax technical research and draft clear, practical tax advice for clients.
- Deal with consultancy assignments including assisting in the preparation of tax reports covering issues such as:
- Group restructuring
- Succession planning
- Personal tax planning
- VAT queries and planning
- Liaise with Revenue, legal advisers, financial advisers and other third parties as required.
Client Management & Business Development
- Act as main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building long-term relationships.
- Liaise proactively with clients, professional advisers and other relevant third parties.
- Present and develop business development initiatives, including identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and, where relevant, assist in training junior staff.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant: ACA / ACCA / CPA (or equivalent).
- 2–5+ years’ post-qualification experience in practice, with a strong accounts and tax background.
- Solid experience in preparing financial statements and management accounts for SMEs/corporates.
- Strong tax compliance experience (corporation tax, income tax, VAT); experience in CGT and CAT essential.
- Demonstrable involvement in tax advisory projects such as restructurings, succession planning and relief claims.
- Strong research skills and ability to interpret Irish tax legislation and Revenue guidance.

- Confident communicator with good client-facing skills.
- Commercially aware, with an interest in developing new business opportunities.
- Organised, self-motivated and able to manage deadlines across a varied portfolio.
Pay: €45,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
