Location: Cork City (close to city centre)

Duration: 5 nights initially, with up to 5 additional nights the following week
Shift: 12:00 AM - 4:30 AM (4.5 hours on track, paid for 8 hours)
Rate: €35 per hour
Accommodation: Provided if required
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Senior General Operative / Supervisor to oversee and assist with the removal of graffiti from a railway bridge using sandblasting techniques, followed by the application of a protective coating.
This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive individual who is comfortable taking responsibility on site, leading by example, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently during night shifts on a live rail environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with and supervise sandblasting operations on a railway bridge.

Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings.

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.

Coordinate activities on site and take responsibility for daily work progress.

Maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Liaise with site management as required.
Requirements
-
Previous experience in industrial painting, protective coatings, sandblasting, construction, maintenance, or a similar environment.

Sandblasting experience is preferred but not essential.

Experience leading teams or taking responsibility on site.

Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

Ability to work independently and take control when required.

Good communication skills.
