This role is based mainly in Athlone but travel to other sites will be required.
Core Responsibilities (Not limited to)
- Site Inspections: Carry out safety walks, audits, and checks to identify hazards and monitor corrective actions through to completion
- Risk Management: Prepare and update Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
- Training and Inductions: Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions for site team.
- Incident Investigation: Record and investigate accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences to find root causes.
- Regulatory & Documentation compliance: Maintain site safety files and ensure adherence to site documentation requirements.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the organisation.
- Provide competent health and safety advice to management and employees.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: A relevant diploma or degree in Health & Safety, , or a related field.
Experience: Typically, 2 to 5 years of practical safety advisory experience, especially within construction, engineering, or industrial sectors.
Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to influence safe behaviour’s across the project. Strong working knowledge of Irish health & safety regulations and site compliance
Pay: €35,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
