The New School is currently seeking a jazz piano teacher to join our Piano/Keyboard faculty, starting in September 2026. Our current needs are 1-2 days per week, although additional teaching days are also possible. We are also looking for a candidate who would be comfortable teaching both young children and adults in a group setting, as we run introductory courses for both throughout the year. A minimum of 2 years teaching experience is required within a relevant field.
Founded in 1994 and located in Dublin city centre, the Waltons New School of Music is a comprehensive music centre, combining expert tuition for students of all ages and skill levels – and in the broadest range of instruments and subjects of any school in Ireland – with innovative approaches to music education.
Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Experience teaching students from beginner to advanced skill levels.
- Experience teaching both adults and children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
The position is contracted annually and will be renewed subject to job performance.
