Description:
A proactive role responsible for interpreting the design, build, supervision, operation & monitoring of mechanical projects to involve planning, design and implementation while ensuring successful delivery within a timely manner. Safety will be a primary focus and major requirement of this role and emphasis will be placed on the successful completion of tasks while adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
This role will oversee the performance of the project to include its co-ordination and management to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, quality and service while ensuring budgets are implemented and profitability is reached. This role will be responsible for upholding all aspects of compliance and standards
This role will also drive operational excellence by implementing process improvements, fostering a culture of safety and accountability, and ensuring that all mechanical projects meet or exceed client expectations through efficient execution, resource management, and consistent quality control.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage the projects deliverables to ensure successful project delivery, generate and co-ordinate project costs with an emphasis on value engineering and building of quotations
- Ability to effectively read drawings and design specifications in accordance with the requirements of a project
Review works to build quotations for reactive / project works

Organise the materials required to complete the task while liaising with suppliers on the procurement, costings and delivery of said products

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the (Mechanical remove) Minor Works Projects Division
Oversee the projects resources while planning and managing labour and subcontractors. If required, schedule additional resources where necessary
Implement structured project tracking systems to monitor progress, resource allocation, and cost control

Responsible for the supervision of any subcontractors brought on site

Conduct regular quality assurance inspections on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements

Drive to meet targets, identify and implement innovations that will improve service delivery

Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project delays, cost overruns, or safety issues

Ensure clear and concise communication with management as to the progress of works allocated while providing instruction to site personnel

Mentor and support junior team members and apprentices to develop their technical and professional skills
Organise and facilitate regular customer forums and meetings with all relevant stakeholders
Maintain detailed project documentation, including work logs, progress reports, and post-project reviews for continuous improvement

Follow task briefings and appropriate safe systems of work and ensure that Company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Adapt to changing instructions as per task specifications

Ensure that all health and safety legislation and company policies are adhered to, within own level of responsibility to include following Company processes, protocols and documentation

Ensure compliance with the client's policies and procedures

Collaborate with the Projects Manager to review project performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions where needed

Adhering to client requests in a timely manner with a strong customer focus
Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business.
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

Qualified tradesperson with a National Craft Cert, ideally with a plumbing background
Extensive construction experience within a busy environment, minimum of 5 years
SOLAS Safe Pass
Training tickets to include Manual Handling, Working at Heights, Abrasive Wheels, etc.
Full Clean Driving Licence, as travel to multiple sites will be required
Health & Safety awareness and compliance measures
Exposure to Facilities Management and or Engineering/Construction environments ideal
Proven experience in a similar role
Role or qualification in Project supervision / project management
Strong knowledge of project management tools and reporting systems
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, costs, and timelines effectively
Experience in coaching or supervising trade teams to high performance
Familiarity with sustainability practices within all aspects of a project
