Job Summary
To operate as part of the accounting team in assisting clients in maintaining their accounting and tax regulatory requirement. Assisting clients on an ad-hoc basis with any other accounting and tax issues that arise.
This is a hybrid role and trainees are expected to be in the Cork office 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accounting records up to draft financial statements stage.
- Preparation and submission of tax returns including but not limited to VAT, payroll, corporation tax, income tax.
- Correspond and interact with clients to obtain information required to complete tasks and to make them aware of filing deadlines and other obligations.
- Correspond and interact with Revenue on behalf of clients to represent their interests in a professional manner.
- Monitor filing deadlines for a portfolio of clients.
- Liaise with other staff and departments dealing with other aspects of a client’s regulatory requirements.
- Review accounting statements, expense reports, and standard forms for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to procedures.
- Answering client queries.
- Review, update, or revise file contents to reflect current status of client.
Maintain checklists, logs, worksheets, or other records used to monitor the status of a project or business activity.

Qualifications & Experience
Accounting Finance or business related degree preferred.
