The purpose of the role is to promote and implement the Company Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure the prevention of accidents. Ensuring that aviation security measure are implemented in respect of airline operations. Ensure the implementation of the Air Carrier Security Programme and Aviation Security Training requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain contact with officials of the national aviation authority and ensure ASL Airlines Ireland operates within the Directives and Recommendations set by the Authorities; manage security issues related to any aircraft accident or incident as part of the Crisis Control Team.

Partner with the Quality and Compliance Monitoring Manager to risk assess the network destinations in terms of aircraft and aircrew protection against potential or specific threats to aviation security. Maintain awareness of international security issues that could affect civil aviation by maintaining contact with external organisations such as ICAO/IATA/EASA

Represent ASL Airlines Ireland at various National, Regional and International Security Committees. Ensure the implementation of required aviation security training and the monitoring of airline security training for crew and airline ground staff

Develop the security instruction for aircrew and ground personnel as a basis for implementing aviation security procedures. Maintain a record of all occurrences of unlawful interference affecting ASL Airlines Ireland operations, record and report any trends to the appropriate Authority. Maintain SeMS. Conduct a comprehensive security survey and subsequent periodic audits, inspections and tests of ASL Airlines Ireland facilities, equipment and activities and to report all deficiencies identified to the appropriate Authority.

Ensure that ASL Airlines Ireland's written Security Programme is current and has been endorsed by the Accountable Manager. Ensure implementation of ASL Airlines Air Carrier Security Programme, recommend changes to policy and amendments to the ACSP. Ensure the security of ASL Airlines Flight and Cabin Crew, ACMs and staff on all routes operated by the Company

Ensure ACC3 approval for all Third countries not listed in the NCASP

Analyse incident reports related to aviation security; Maintain the Emergency Response Plan; Monitor disruptive passengers incidents and keep statistics; Liaise local enforcement agencies; In cases of unlawful interference act as a ‘threat assessor’ for the Company

Maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will provide support in this
Qualifications:

Be acceptable to the national aviation authority

Competencies 11.2.5 as listed in Chapter 11 of the NCASP

SMS training

Proficient in computer applications

Completed Emergency Response Training
Experience:
