J.S. McCarthy Ltd is now recruiting for experienced qualified Painters & Decorators for our long-term contracts in Cork, Limerick & nationwide. JS McCarthy Ltd aim to provide permanent long-term employment and we provide all necessary safety training and development for our employees.
JS McCarthy Ltd carry out commercial & industrial painting contracts throughout a broad range of industrial sectors with Clients that have awarded multiyear contracts on their sites. With nearly 150 years of experience in the Irish market, we have earned a reputation for performing very high-quality work, safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
If you possess the relevant qualifications and experience, we want to hear from you. Please see the specifications of the role outlined below:
- Application of various paints by brush and roller
- Surface preparation by various means
- All work to be completed in accordance with JS McCarthy Ltd Safety & Environmental Standards.
- Works must be completed to the highest Quality Standard
- Experience in specialist two pack coatings preferrable but not essential
- Experience in commercial painting contracts preferrable
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Completed Solas or FAS Painting & Decorating Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Painting & Decorating.
- Good working knowledge of English is preferrable.
- Completed Health and Safety training would be an advantage.
- Safepass & Manual Handling is required
- Minimum B Class driving licence an advantage.

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT
While we are recruiting for long term contracts in Cork & Limerick, the candidate must be prepared to travel from time to time as the work can be based nationwide.
RATES OF PAY AS PER CONSTRUCTION SEO, OVERTIME PAID AT 1.5 & DOUBLE TIME AS APPLICAPLE & WILL BE PAID INTO THE CONSTRUCTION WORKER PENSION SCHEME.
