This Lead Educator (Room Leader) is responsible for leading the daily operation of an Early Learning and Care (ELC) room, ensuring high-quality care, learning, and development opportunities for children. They provide leadership and support to educators, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily activities within the room.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate a child-centred, play-based curriculum.
- Support children's learning, development, wellbeing, and individual needs.
- Guide, mentor, and support ELC Educators and other room staff.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress and development.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's wellbeing and learning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.
- Manage room resources and maintain accurate records and documentation.
Pay: €16.00-€18.00 per hour
