About the Role
We are seeking an efficient, confident, and highly experienced Cook to join our kitchen team at Rabelo. Positioned right at the beautiful Carlingford Marina, we are a busy venue looking for a reliable professional who knows how to manage a section independently and maintain high standards under pressure.
This is an immediate-start position. We need someone with excellent kitchen instincts who can slot into our operations seamlessly from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes quickly and consistently during peak rushes.
- Managing day-to-day station prep, ensuring your section is stocked and organized.
- Maintaining strict food hygiene, safety, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Minimizing food waste through proper stock rotation and portion control.
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth, timely food service.
Requirements (Strictly Enforced):
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a cook or chef in a busy, fast-paced commercial kitchen. (Please highlight this clearly on your CV).
- Availability: Must be available for an immediate start. Full flexibility is required, including daytime, evenings, and essential weekend shifts.
- Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, excellent speed of service, and a calm demeanor during high-volume periods.
- Transport: Our stunning venue is located right on the water, but it is a bit off the beaten track. A reliable car or living locally is essential to fit our variable shift finish times.
