A large mixed organic farm just outside Portlaoise, Co. Laois is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager.
Role includes management of a large suckler herd (feeding, bedding, calving, breeding, grassland management, and herd health records) along with involvement in tillage operations including secondary cultivations and harvest.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years farm management experience.
- Experience with suckler herds.
- Familiar with modern farm machinery operation and maintenance. Full driving licence and own transport.
- Computer literate.
- Must have proficient English.
- Welding experience an advantage but not essential.
