Summary of Responsibilities:
PharmacyStore is an Irish-owned community pharmacy group with 5 stores, over 60 employees and strong ambitions to continue to grow. We are situated in the local communities we serve and understand the importance of what we deliver to our customers and their families. Our Duty Manager is a key member of our Retail management team and is the first line Manager charged with the responsibility for the day to day running of our Pharmacies. The Duty Manager is a direct line manager, a member of the Retail Management Team and the key point of contact with the Head Office Team.

Specific Responsibilities:
Customer Focus:

Role modelling and fostering team behaviour that shows our customers that they are our highest priority.

Listening to our customers, understanding what would improve our service and dealing with any customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Building a strong working relationship with the Supervising Pharmacist and all team members in the pharmacy to ensure a seamless and consistent delivery of service to our customers.
Leading & Developing your Pharmacy Team:

Demonstrating your leadership daily, providing the direction and motivation required to deal with challenges and celebrating success.
- Ensuring that effective communication of priorities and changes takes place regularly across the team.
Closely partners with the Retail Management Team and Head Office Team to implement best in class pharmacy store polices and operating procedures.
Implements plans at a store level for the introduction of new products, assisting in Employee training and mechanising plans for any new product or service categories.
Commercial Focus

Ensure the effective management of the Pharmacy inventory through regular stock checks, which ensure that stock levels are managed accurately, and that stock is ordered in a timely and consistent basis.
Ensure there is always effective communication with the Retail Management Team and Head Office Team, ensuring that your store needs are understood across the business to secure the support you need to deliver for our customers.
Helpsto build the capability of our Employees to enable them to maximise link selling opportunities and champion how it can actively contribute to increased sales across our individual stores.

Responsible for regularly communicating and collaborating with other Duty Managers in the company always ensuring that best known methods are shared to continuously improve the performance of the overall business.
Operational Standards

Ensuring the highest of standards are maintained for our customers and our teams in terms of housekeeping and health and safety.

Ensure strict adherence to all PSI and HSE standards and protocols.

Ensure strict adherence to policies relating to the management of Stock and Cash across the company.
Project Management

Take ownership for Pharmacy projects and initiatives as and when required at a group level managing implementations successfully and without interruption to the business

Desired Experience and Qualification:

Five years' experience in retail management ideally in a Pharmacy setting.

Third level qualification in Retail management / Marketing or Management.

Qualifications in Pharmacy would be an advantage, but not essential, for this position.
