Business Development Manager – Facades & Anchoring

MAK Fastener Specialists Ltd is one of Ireland's leading suppliers of fastening systems and construction accessories to the commercial, industrial, roofing, cladding and building envelope sectors.
As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Facades & Anchoring Division and are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive sales and specification activity across Ireland.
Our product range includes rainscreen façade fasteners, anchoring systems, external wall insulation fasteners, façade support systems, stainless steel fasteners and structural fastening solutions.
This is a business development-focused position responsible for identifying opportunities, securing specifications and growing sales within the façade, cladding, anchoring and building envelope markets.
You will work closely with:
- Façade Contractors
- Main Contractors
- Architects / Consulting Engineers
- Façade Designers
- Cladding Installers
- Building Envelope Specialists
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales of façade fixing and anchoring systems throughout Ireland.
- Generate project specifications with architects and engineers.
- Build relationships with contractors, installers and consultants.
- Identify and secure new project opportunities.
- Carry out site visits including pull tests and product demonstrations.
- Assist customers with technical product selection and solutions.
- Manage projects from specification stage through to order placement.
- Represent MAK at industry events and exhibitions.
Requirements
- Proven sales or business development experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organized and commercially driven.
- Full clean driving license.
Highly Desirable
- Experience within the façade, cladding, roofing, fixing, anchoring or construction sectors.
- Knowledge of rainscreen systems, ETICS, masonry fixings, concrete anchoring or building envelope products.
- Experience working with engineers and specialist contractors.
