We are seeking a motivated and reliable Rigid Lorry Driver to join our team in Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo. This role involves professional driving, loading and unloading within our pallet manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods using a company rigid vehicle delivering and collecting pallets to meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will include but not limited to:
- Safely operate a company rigid lorry for the delivery and collection of pallets and goods
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance requirements or defects
- Ensure all loads are safely secured, handled, and delivered in a timely and professional manner
- Complete delivery documentation accurately and ensure compliance with all transport regulations
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites at all times
- Conduct routine daily and weekly vehicle inspections
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve targets and maintain quality standards
Requirements:
- Full C Driving Licence (rigid vehicle entitlement)
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Minimum of two years professional driving experience
- Forklift certificate and experience desirable
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible, with the ability to support both transport and production operations as required
