A leading acute healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join a newly developed Neuro Interventional Radiology (IR) service opening in 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly specialised environment supporting minimally invasive neurovascular procedures and delivering exceptional patient care.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care before, during, and after neuro interventional procedures including cerebral angiograms, aneurysm coiling, and carotid stenting.

Assist with neuro interventional radiology procedures, including induction of anaesthesia

Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures

Conduct neurological and haemodynamic assessments

Respond effectively to neurovascular emergencies

Administer medications in line with hospital policies and professional guidelines

Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation

Collaborate closely with radiology and neurosurgical teams

Support quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes

Participate in ongoing education and specialist training

Supervise and support junior nursing staff where required

Ensure safe use and maintenance of clinical equipment

Participate in rostered shifts including weekends and on-call requirements

Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Minimum 3 years' acute hospital experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Flexibility regarding rostering and service needs

Experience in Neuro Interventional Radiology or a related specialised area

Knowledge of current developments within acute nursing care

Experience participating in quality improvement projects
