Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician
Wrench Auto Works is looking for a reliable and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our busy garage.
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles. The role includes servicing, general mechanical repairs, fault-finding, diagnostics and preparing vehicles for the NCT.
Main duties:
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing repairs including brakes, suspension, timing belts, clutches and flywheels
- Preparing vehicles for the NCT
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Completing work safely and to a high standard
- Keeping the workplace and tools clean and organised
- Clearly reporting any additional faults found during repairs
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a mechanic or automotive technician
- Good mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Careful approach to customers’ vehicles
- Full driving licence preferred
- Relevant motor-vehicle qualification is an advantage, but practical experience will also be considered
