We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at The Merry Tree Restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and workflow
- Adhere to all HACCP regulations and documentation
- Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
- Oversee food preparation and plating to meet brand expectations
- Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and minimise wastage
- Support menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to build a strong team culture
- Complete daily, nightly, and weekly cleaning schedules
- Work efficiently under pressure
- Adhere to provided checklists, keeping the kitchen clean and organised at all times
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- 2 years of previous experience
