About the Position
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Chef to join our team in Rathcoole.
You will be responsible for preparing fresh, tasty and family-friendly food for children, parents and staff. This is a hands-on role within a busy indoor play centre, so we are looking for someone who can work efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing a range of meals, light bites and snacks
- Creating food options suitable for children and families
- Supporting menu planning and introducing new food ideas
- Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
- Managing food storage, stock rotation and kitchen supplies
- Keeping the kitchen, preparation areas and equipment clean and organised
- Monitoring stock and assisting with food orders
- Taking care when preparing food for allergies and dietary requirements
- Preparing food for busy periods, children's parties and group bookings
- Working closely with the wider Kidspace team to provide a positive experience for customers
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen
- Food safety/hygiene training is an advantage
- Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Friendly and professional approach
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and busy periods
- Experience in a family, leisure or high-volume setting would be beneficial
