Recruitment & HR Manager – Driver Operations
Location: Galway based, with travel to our Dublin depot approximately 2 days per week
O’Toole Transport is looking for a Recruitment & HR Manager to join our team, with a particular focus on driver recruitment, onboarding and HR administration.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of the full new-starter process — from identifying and organising potential drivers for assessment through to ensuring they are fully set up and ready to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage driver recruitment, applications and organise driving assessments.
- Coordinate the full new starter and onboarding process.
- Ensure new starter forms, employee records and contracts are completed and maintained correctly.
- Issue and manage PPE and driver phones.
- Set new drivers up across company systems including Hexnode, Telegram, Transics and Move It.
- Ensure drivers completing induction are fully set up and ready to commence work.
- Manage leavers, ensuring access is removed from all relevant systems.
- Maintain and clean up employee/driver records across company systems.
- Manage Core HR / eDays and general HR administration.
- Work closely with the operations teams in both Galway and Dublin to identify recruitment requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple new starters at once.
- Comfortable working with different IT and HR systems.
- Proactive and willing to take ownership rather than wait for instruction.
- Confident dealing with drivers and operational teams.
- Experienced in recruitment, HR administration or a similar people-focused role.
- Happy to be based primarily in Galway and travel to Dublin approximately two days per week.
Experience within transport, logistics or high-volume recruitment would be a strong advantage.
This is an important role within the business with the opportunity to take real ownership of our driver recruitment and onboarding process.
Pay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
