About the Role:
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our dynamic team at a Clare Facility. In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in supporting residents with their daily care needs, helping to maintain their comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to patients, including assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, eating, etc.).
- Monitor and record patients' conditions and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Assist in the mobility of patients, including transferring from bed to chair or helping them walk.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to hygiene and infection control standards.
- Support patients with social activities and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and documentation.
Requirements:
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Garda Vetting required
- Good knowledge of infection control and health and safety standards.
