We are looking for a motivated Cloud Engineer I to join our Cardiac Rhythm Software division. In this role, you will support the health, observability, and maintainability of our cloud-based production environment, along with the supporting components that enable our day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will bring foundational experience with cloud-native technologies, Linux, automation, and software development, along with a strong willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative engineering environment.
A Day in the Life
- Assist with monitoring environment availability and performance to help maintain system health.
- Support improvements to platform stability and the developer experience under the guidance of more senior engineers.
- Write, test, and review code with support from the team.
Participate in sprint planning, scrum ceremonies, and team delivery activities while building knowledge of the platform and operational practices.

Must have Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, software engineering, or a related technical role.
- Foundational knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Foundational knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tools.
- Foundational understanding of Kubernetes concepts, such as pods, deployments, services, and namespaces.
- Basic experience supporting, deploying, or troubleshooting applications in containerised environments.
- Exposure to infrastructure automation or configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
Programming or scripting experience in Go, Python, Bash, or a similar language.

Nice to Have:
- Exposure to deploying or operating Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments.
- Exposure to Terraform, Kubernetes RBAC, Helm, Flux, Istio, and/or related cloud-native technologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to GitOps deployment practices.
Interest in learning Kubernetes Cluster API, Bottlerocket OS, and custom AWS AMI build practices.
