Job Description
MotorCorp is seeking a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Car Detailer / Vehicle Valeter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring every vehicle presented to our customers meets the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality interior and exterior vehicle detailing, identifying cosmetic issues, completing minor cosmetic repairs where required, and maintaining a clean and organised working environment. Key Responsibilities
- Wash, decontaminate and dry vehicles using safe washing techniques.
- Machine polish, wax and buff vehicle paintwork to a high standard.
- Clean and dress tyres, alloy wheels, wheel arches and exterior trim.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets, seats and upholstery.
- Clean and condition leather interiors.
- Carry out thorough quality inspections before vehicles are handed over.
- Identify and report any damage or defects requiring further attention.
- Perform minor cosmetic repairs
- Ensure all completed vehicles meet MotorCorp's presentation standards.
- Maintain detailing equipment and keep the valeting area clean, safe and organised.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning chemicals, cloths and consumables and report shortages.
- Work closely with the workshop, preparation and sales teams to ensure vehicles are completed on time.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and use equipment correctly.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing or valeting.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
- Good knowledge of vehicle cleaning products and detailing techniques.
- Ability to use polishing machines and other detailing equipment safely.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with paint correction and machine polishing.
- Experience carrying out SMART cosmetic repairs.
- Knowledge of ceramic coatings and paint protection products.
