Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV & Plant Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and plant machinery, ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Perform inspections and prepare vehicles and machinery for testing and certification.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site support when required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational deadlines.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV and/or plant mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Relevant qualifications
- Ability to diagnose faults and work independently.
- Full, clean driving licence (HGV licence desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
