Horsehill Farm Limited is seeking to recruit a Dairy Farm Assistant to join our modern dairy farm team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of dairy farm work, including:
- Milking cows
- Feeding livestock
- Calf rearing
- Animal husbandry
- Calving
- Heat detection
- General herd health and welfare
- Tractor and machinery operation
- Fencing and grassland management
- Farmyard maintenance and all other day-to-day dairy farm duties
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' dairy farming experience.
- Previous experience milking cows is essential.
- Experience in calf rearing and animal husbandry.
- Ability to operate tractors and farm machinery.
- Good work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic English communication skills.
- A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position on a progressive dairy farm offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable candidate.
Pay: €36,605.00 per year
