About the Role
The Security Systems Technician will install, maintain, and support advanced electronic security access control systems across enterprise environments. They need to have strong hands-on experience with access control platforms such as Lenel, Honeywell, CCURE, and Vanderbilt, along with a solid understanding of integrated security solutions.
This role involves both field and technical support responsibilities, ensuring systems operate efficiently, securely, and in line with client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission enterprise-level access control systems
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on security systems
- Support and manage platforms such as Lenel, Honeywell, CCURE, and Vanderbilt
- Conduct system upgrades, patches, and firmware updates
- Diagnose hardware, software, and network-related issues within security systems
- Work with integrated systems including CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarms
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service reports, and system configurations
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians on deployments
- Assist with system design feedback and continuous improvement initiatives
- Train end-users on system operation when required
- Respond to service calls and participate in on-call rotations if necessary
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service deliver
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of enterprise access control systems and architecture
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Lenel, Honeywell, CCURE, and/or Vanderbilt
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, basic troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with integrated security systems (CCTV, intercoms, alarms, Genetec/AMAG)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications (Lenel, Honeywell, CCURE, Vanderbilt, or similar) are advantageous but not required
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with enterprise security systems
- Proven track record of installing and supporting access control systems in commercial or enterprise environments
- Experience working in field service or project-based roles preferred
Pay: €22.00-€25.00 per hour
