Job description
As Atlantic Dental Care continues to grow, we are delighted to invite applications for a Dental Nurse to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused practice, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Our dental team members will be trained in both the clinical and non-clinical aspects of providing dental services to patients.
Clinical duties
- Chairside support to the Dental team,
- Application of cross infection and decontamination controls
- Surgery set up for patients
- The management of patient lab work, etc.
Non-clinical duties
- Management of inbound and outbound calls
- Meet and greet patients
- Responding to patient email enquiries
- Scheduling and management of patient bookings
- Scanning filing and maintaining records and general reception and ad-hoc duties as required.

Our Ideal Candidate
- A strong understanding of confidentiality and discretion
- Experience in a clinical environment preferable .
- Customer Service Experience, preferably in a front facing customer role
- Ability to prioritise and multitask
- Time management, punctuality and flexibility
- Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
- 1-2 years previous experience in front of house/scheduling/customer service/customer facing roles
- Experience with Dentally software preferred, but not essential, training can and will be provided.
- Role includes clinical & administrative training and duties.
- Ability to use initiative and take ownership of tasks to be completed
