Description: The Care Team is very excited to advertise an open position for a Client Care Supervisor for Dublin Southside. The role is community-based and requires a highly organised, flexible self-starter with excellent time management skills and great initiative. This is a hands-on management role based in the community. The successful applicant will be capable of managing all care aspects of day-to-day operations, be responsible and accountable, possess excellent communication skills, and feel confident leading the implementation of all quality care initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Managing cases of community-based clients, including assessing new clients and drafting care plans.
- Identifying client needs and requirements, providing assistance to help them remain independent in the community.
- Managing, leading, and directing a team of healthcare assistants in the community.
- Introducing healthcare assistants to service users and shadowing care shifts to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Training and upskilling healthcare assistants to ensure best practices.
- Carrying out regular assessments and spot-checks on teams to ensure:
- They are working according to the agreed care plan.
- They are adhering to the code of practice set out by The Care Team.
- They are operating within a safe working environment.
- Equipment is being used correctly.
- Client care is maintained at a high standard.
- Communicating any updates or changes in care plans immediately to the staff.
- Accepting and processing changes or amendments to existing rosters.
- Assigning care workers to clients in collaboration with the Rostering team and the Client Services Manager.
- Ensuring all working patterns meet the needs of the company, clients, and carers.
- Providing additional cover for client cases, including sickness, absenteeism, or holidays.
- Liaising with clients and care workers to ensure efficient service provision.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client database records.
- Supporting and assisting the Client Services Manager to complete tasks effectively.
- Participating in an on-call rotation on a one-week-on / one-week-off basis (4-week cycle).
- Undertaking any other duties as reasonably deemed necessary by the business.
Requirements:
- Language: Fluent English (written and spoken).
- FETAC or QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (or an equivalent healthcare qualification).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a supervisory role OR a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Healthcare Assistant.
- Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full, clean Irish/EU driving licence.
- Own car is an advantage (Optional, as a pool car is provided).
