Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is a leading Irish engineering consultancy with c.115 staff across Cork, Dublin and Carlow. We deliver projects in Ireland and internationally across Sustainable Infrastructure, Energy, Planning, Circular Economy and Environment. Our breadth of expertise enables us to provide a comprehensive range of services to both public and private sector clients.
We are now seeking to appoint an experienced and highly approachable HR Manager to join our Cork office.
This is a key leadership role within FT, responsible for driving our people strategy and fostering a positive, high-performance culture across the organisation. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to both employees and senior leadership, combining strong technical HR expertise with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR & Leadership
· Act as a strategic business partner, supporting the development and delivery of FT’s people strategy in line with business objectives
· Provide trusted, professional advice to senior leadership on all HR matters
· Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems and practices
· Promote and embed FT’s values, culture and commitment to inclusion and wellbeing
Employee Relations & Engagement
· Act as an accessible, approachable and trusted point of contact for employees at all levels
· Build strong, collaborative relationships across teams and offices
· Lead and manage employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement
· Develop and deliver engagement initiatives that support a positive and inclusive working environment
Talent, Performance & Development
· Lead the full talent lifecycle including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, development and succession planning
· Support and drive the performance management process across the business
· Provide guidance and coaching to managers on people management best practice
· Support career development and progression initiatives across FT
HR Operations & Governance
· Ensure all HR policies, procedures and documentation are maintained and compliant with relevant legislation
· Manage the annual remuneration review process, including salary benchmarking and benefits
· Produce high-quality monthly and ad-hoc HR metrics and reporting
· Maintain accurate and well-structured HR systems and records for new and existing employees
Skills / Qualifications
· Degree-qualified in Human Resources or a related discipline
· Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIPD)
· Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, including experience supporting senior leadership
· Experience operating across a broad HR remit in a multi-site organisation
