Paediatric Disability Services | Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT)
Emerald Locums are currently recruiting a Staff Grade or Senior Psychologist for a Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) based in Co. Donegal. This is an excellent opportunity to join a family-centred paediatric disability service supporting children and young people with complex developmental and physical disabilities within the community.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering assessment, intervention, consultation, and support services to children with a range of developmental needs. Flexible full-time and part-time options are available through a temporary rolling contract, offering exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload within a supportive clinical environment.

Roles available:

Staff Grade Psychologist

Senior Psychologist
Duties:
-
Deliver psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions for children with complex developmental needs
-
Support children presenting with autism, intellectual disability, developmental delay, and other neurodevelopmental conditions
-
Work closely with families to provide family-centred care and support
-
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, joint assessments, and care planning
-
Provide consultation and guidance to parents, carers, and other professionals
-
Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
-
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and HSE standards
Requirements:
-
Qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology recognised in Ireland

Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)
-
Experience working with children and/or disability services
-
Strong understanding of family-centred practice and multidisciplinary working
-
Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills
-
For Staff Grade level: relevant post-qualification experience, including placements or early career roles

Experience or strong exposure within paediatric, child-focused, disability, or developmental services
-
Ability to manage a caseload with appropriate supervision
-
Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development
-
For Senior level: significant post-qualification experience (typically 3-5+ years)

Demonstrated leadership, supervision, or service development experience
-
Ability to independently manage a complex caseload

Previous experience within a CDNT or community disability service is desirable
-
Training in behavioural, developmental, family-based, or other relevant therapeutic approaches is advantageous
