Dublin School of Music is one of Ireland's leading private music schools, providing high-quality music education to students of all ages and abilities across our three Dublin locations in Terenure, Tallaght and Stillorgan.
We are seeking an experienced Director of School Operations to join our senior leadership team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining operational management, educational administration, staff leadership and advanced piano and singing tuition.
Working closely with the School Owner, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the school, coordinate student enrolments and teacher timetables using MyMusicStaff, support our teaching team, manage recruitment and onboarding, coordinate RIAM and ABRSM examinations, and help drive the continued growth and success of Dublin School of Music.
The successful candidate will also teach advanced piano and singing students, prepare students for recognised music examinations, and provide teaching cover where required.
Essential requirements include:
- Master's degree in Music (or a closely related discipline)
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Music Performance or a related discipline
- Minimum two years' experience in an operational leadership, management or senior administrative role within an educational, arts or performing arts organisation
- Minimum five years' experience teaching music
- Ability to teach both piano and singing to a high standard
- Experience using MyMusicStaff or similar education management software
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to safeguarding children and willingness to complete Garda Vetting
- Ongoing engagement in professional musical performance
Salary: From €42,000 per annum.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position based across our three Dublin locations, with opportunities for some home-based administrative work where appropriate.
