VEI Global is looking for talented and experienced data Cabling & Network Deployment Engineers to implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure projects. You will be part of an engineering team that is responsible for planning and commissioning of wired and wireless networks. The role is 100% in person on site visiting our customer base in Ireland with some European work.
Responsibilities:
· Structured copper cabling on various client locations including installation of containment and termination.
· Collaborate with our engineering and logistics teams to plan and execute the deployment of data networks at various client sites.
· Conduct thorough pre-deployment inspections.
· Hands-on installation and basic guided configuration of networking hardware components.
· Monitor network systems during deployment, proactively identifying and resolving technical issues to ensure seamless operations.
· Develop deployment documentation, collect valuable data and insert into templates. Provide feedback to the engineering team for continuous improvement.
Requirements
· 3 or more years proven hands-on data network and cabling experience
· Data Cabinet patching and labelling experience
· Pull and terminate copper data cable runs and containment
· Experience in creating and follow cabling plans
· Rack and mount various network devices and services (e.g., APs, routers, switches…)
· Genuine passion for network technologies and a keen interest in the application of network system.
· Health and Safety minded
· Basic Windows skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
· Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
· Must have a valid Driver’s License with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years; cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
· Fluency in written and oral English.
· This role is 100% in person, on site.
· Willingness to travel to other client sites abroad for deployment projects or training.
· Interested in learning about data networking and its active components on the job with aim to obtain industry certifications, such as CCNA or equivalent by on-the-job training
