The Maryborough Hotel is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to manage all financial aspects of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a new challenge within a well-established family-owned four-star luxury hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the financial operation of the business
- Management of bank and cash processes
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the nominal ledger
- Oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Processing and control of wages/payroll
- Monitoring and management of stock controls
- Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting
- Reporting to the Financial Controller with financial insights and performance analysis
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within hospitality or retail sector
- Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Results orientated, flexible, resourceful, & self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deliverables
