Ballycommon Civil Engineering are currently looking for Civils/Groundworks Foreman to join our team on an ongoing project based in Dublin City & County. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring that works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Requirements & Responsibilities
· Manage operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site Foreman or similar supervisory role
· Strong groundworks experience (Deep drainage and excavation)
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Foreman on Civil Engineering Projects including Road Construction, Water/Wastewater Mains, ESB Civils, Utilities, Cable Installation & Construction Groundworks.
· Maintain accurate daily site diaries, labour returns, and material orders, report progress and potential delays to the Site Manager
· Managing Safety in Construction (CIF) or IOSH/SMSTS is highly desirable.
· Relevant plant tickets (e.g., 360 Excavator, Slinger/Signaller) are a plus.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse workforce and resolve on-site conflicts effectively.
· Safe Pass
· Relevant trade or construction qualification (Beneficial)
· Full driving license (preferred)
· Must have 2 checkable references & Right to Work in Ireland
