PASTORAL CARE WORKER / CHAPLAIN - 16 HOURS PER WEEK
YOU MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF A DEGREE IN THEOLOGY AND EXPERIENCE OF WORKING AS A CHAPLAIN
Please note that this role will require the incumbent to work 8 hours per week in the Mount Tabor Nursing Home (divided into 2-3 days), 4 hours per week in Margaretholme based in Sandymount and Ailt An Oir based in Dun Laoghaire

The Position
Dublin Central Mission CLG are recruiting a Part-time Pastoral Care Worker to provide Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care services across DCM’s Nursing Home and two Independent Living complexes. The position will be based in our headquarters, Mount Tabor Care Centre, which is located at Sandymount Green.
The successful candidate will provide meaningful spiritual support and pastoral care services to people in our care employing the principles of and working within the ethos of the Dublin Central Mission.
The role embodies a specific call to work in a pastorally compassionate manner with our service users, their family, staff and volunteers by offering spiritual and emotional support in a holistic environment.
Eligibility Criteria

Diploma/Degree in Theology at a recognised third level institute
and or
Professional qualification with HealthCare Chaplaincy Board/Chaplaincy Accreditation board
and or
Experience working in a spiritual care role within the last 5 years with a view to working towards accreditation.

Clear demonstration of leadership and implementing a clear vision for the spiritual and religious care service.
Proven record of significant contribution in a pastoral setting
Solid knowledge and personal experience of other faith communities through active interfaith engagement.
Proven communications skills at all levels
Evidence of successfully working in a person-centred environment

Experience of multi-disciplinary teamwork

Continuous Professional Development
Experience of a Healthcare environment
Knowledge of IT skills, GDPR and records management
Full Clean driving licence and own car
o Hours: 8 Hours onsite dedicated to Mount Tabor Care Centre and Nursing Home, Sandymount (the 8 hours in Mount Tabour Nursing Home will need to spread over 2 to 3 days per week); 4 hours onsite dedicated to Margaretholme, 4 Claremount Road, Sandymount & 4 hours onsite dedicated to Ailt An Oir, Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin.
