Accounts Administrator (Part-Time – 2 Days Per Week - hybrid
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). Based in Cabra Dublin 7 we are seeking an experienced accounts administrator. We are open to a PAYE employee or a contract for services.
This is an ideal role for an experienced bookkeeping and accounts professional who enjoys working independently, has strong attention to detail, and is passionate about improving systems and processes through technology.
The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote working with attendance at our office as required.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration of the business and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial operations.
In addition to traditional bookkeeping duties, we are looking for someone who can identify opportunities to streamline workflows, implement efficient systems, and leverage technology to improve processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration
- Accounts payable and supplier management
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Payroll processing
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Credit control and accounts receivable support as required
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors for end of year returns
- Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis
- Ensuring compliance with Revenue and payroll obligations
- Reviewing and improving internal financial processes and controls
- Identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounts administration
- Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Experience processing payroll
- Strong accounts payable experience
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong IT and systems skills
- Experience using QuickBooks
- Experience using Big Red Book
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Experience implementing digital systems and process improvements
- Experience introducing automation and workflow efficiencies
- Experience working in a growing SME environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting and business management software
