Opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a boutique accountancy practice with excellent flexibility on offer for a suitable candidate, which can include fully remote working and very flexible working hours, which can range from part-time hours to full-time hours. In-person / hybrid working is also available if preferred.
Key workstreams include:
Accounts
- Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Post journals and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting as required.
- Maintain organised financial records and supporting documentation.
Administration
- Assist with general finance administration and reporting.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Processing payroll (training available, previous payroll experience is not essential).
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 2–4 years' experience in an accounts and/or payroll position.
- Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Desirable
- Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent.
- Payroll qualification.

Pay: Up to €40,000.00 per year
