North Cork Electrical is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team. The role involves warehouse operations, stock control, yard maintenance, and relief delivery driving during holiday periods, supporting the day-to-day running of the business within the electrical and renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking customer orders accurately and preparing deliveries
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Manual handling and lifting of Solar panels, Batteries, Inverters, Electrical cables and related products
- Receiving incoming stock and checking deliveries against dockets
- Maintaining accurate stock levels within the warehouse
- Passing completed dockets to the office for processing once all items are accounted for
- Carrying out regular stock takes and inventory checks
- Using company stock management software to monitor and control inventory
- Maintaining the yard area and keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised
- Ensuring all work areas are maintained to a high safety standard
- Providing relief delivery driver cover during holiday periods and busy times
- Delivering goods to customers in a professional and timely manner
- Carrying out ad hoc duties as required to support the business and warehouse operations
Requirements
- Knowledge of electrical products and materials desirable
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling duties
- Full clean driving licence
- Minimum age of 25 years required for insurance purposes
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse, stock control, or delivery experience an advantage
- Experience using stock or warehouse management software beneficial
