Role Title: Singing Teacher
Reporting to: Head of Music
Summary Role Description:
The purpose of this role is to deliver singing lessons, particularly focused on Junior Cycle students and to cover for the Head of Music on occasion.
Hours of Work:
Twelve hours per week, over 5 days per week, for 30 weeks across term time. The timetable is flexible and will be agreed at the start of the term with the Head of Music, according to the needs of the department.
Role Description:
The successful candidate will join a passionate and professional Performing Arts department. The role will consist of teaching vocal students ten hours per week with an additional two hours devoted to choir rehearsals on Tuesday mornings, performances and administration, to support the same.
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
· Candidates must have a qualification from a recognised Examinations Board (RIAM, ABRSM, RSL etc) or music related diploma or degree.
· Experience of working with choirs and singing ensemble.
· Can demonstrate the ability to teach and inspire young adults in a classroom and/or workshop setting.
Desirable Skills:
Accompanying skills desirable.
Education and Qualifications:
The successful candidate is likely to have an honours Degree level qualification in Music.
