Our client, a growing Irish technology company based in County Clare, is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Senior Technical Support Engineer looking to transition into a more customer-facing position while remaining deeply involved in technical delivery.
You will act as the primary technical contact for a portfolio of customers, providing expert guidance across IT infrastructure, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity environments. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to support project delivery, resolve technical issues, and ensure the ongoing success of deployed solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and trusted advisor for assigned customers.
- Provide hands-on expertise across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and security technologies.
- Support project delivery and ensure smooth transition into operational support.
- Collaborate with Sales, Projects, and Service teams on technical design, escalation, and delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset registers, and licensing records.
- Conduct regular customer reviews and identify technical improvement opportunities.
- Drive efficiency improvements through automation and best practices.
About You
- Proven experience in an IT Engineering, Systems Administration, Infrastructure, or Senior Technical Support role within an MSP or IT services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), networking, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex customer environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Experience with tools such as Halo, Hudu, Ninja, or similar is desirable.
Essential Requirements
- Full Irish Driving Licence is mandatory – this role involves regular customer site visits across Ireland.
- Must have valid permission to work and reside in Ireland – EU passport holder or current Stamp 4 visa is required.
