A national professional membership organisation is seeking a Garda Vetting & Accreditation Officer to join its regulatory and compliance function. This role is responsible for the end‑to‑end administration and oversight of Garda Vetting processes, ensuring compliance with the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Act 2012.
In addition, the role supports wider professional standards, accreditation, CPD recognition, and member services activities. It is well suited to a highly organised, detail‑focused administrator with experience in compliance, regulation, or professional body environments.

Act as the organisation’s Authorised Signatory with the National Vetting Bureau (NVB)

Manage and administer the NVB eVetting system

Process Garda Vetting applications, including review, verification, clearance, and follow‑up

Carry out applicant identity verification in line with NVB standards

Maintain accurate, secure, and GDPR‑compliant vetting records

Monitor vetting compliance and proactively follow up on outstanding or non‑compliant cases

Implement, review, and update Garda Vetting policies and procedures

Prepare reports and support vetting decision‑making panels

Attend NVB training and compliance updates as required

Administer CPD recognition processes and applications

Provide administrative support to accreditation and professional standards committees

Process membership and accreditation applications

Maintain accurate member records within the CRM/database

Respond to member and stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner

Support events, presentations, and meetings as required

Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative, regulatory, or compliance role

Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail

Professional, calm, and confident communication style

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

High level of IT proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Comfortable working independently and using initiative

Experience handling confidential and sensitive information

Experience with Garda Vetting, professional accreditation, or regulatory processes

Experience working in the voluntary, education, or professional body sector

Third‑level qualification

Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
