Wise Owls Afterschool is looking for a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic School Age Practitioner to join our team at Caim National School.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and supervision for children attending the afterschool service.
- Plan and facilitate a range of creative, physical, and educational activities that reflect the interests and needs of the children.
- Support children's social, emotional, and personal development while encouraging positive behaviour and friendships.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools, and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, safeguarding, and company policies and procedures.
- Support daily routines, including snack time, homework support, outdoor play, and organised activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings, planning, and continuous improvement of the service.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting (preferred).
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding and health and safety practices.
- Relevant qualifications in Childcare, Education, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility, reliability, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate in Childcare or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of one year's childcare experience (preferred).
