The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Mill Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the feed mill, ensuring efficient production, quality standards and safe working practices are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor mill machinery and equipment as part of the production process
- Operate loader and forklift, safely loading and unloading materials
- Carry out general mill duties including intake, processing and dispatch activities
- Collaborate with the production team to meet targets and deadlines
- Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping duties
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition
- Deal with customers and contractors courteously and efficiently
- Adhere to all safety regulations and follow Company policies and procedures
- Keep work areas clean and free of debris
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or agri-related environment is an advantage
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Flexibility to work shifts
