About the Role
As a Mechanical Package Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical equipment packages from initial selection through procurement, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
You will act as the technical point of contact for vendors and contractors, ensuring that all equipment meets project requirements and is fully integrated into the overall design and delivery process.
Key Responsibilities

Engage with vendors and OEMs to select appropriate mechanical equipment in line with project specifications and performance requirements

Review and technically evaluate tender submissions and support the procurement process

Prepare technical comparisons, clarifications, and recommendations

Review, coordinate, and manage vendor documentation, including:

Technical data sheets
-
Drawings and schematics
-
Calculations
-
FAT documentation and O&M manuals

Interface closely with the internal design team to ensure vendor information is correctly incorporated into the project design

Compile and issue approved documentation to the end user as part of the final handover package

Work with installation contractors to ensure:

Clear understanding of installation and commissioning requirements

Compliance with vendor instructions and specifications

Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, testing, and final acceptance

Participate in factory and site acceptance testing where required
About You
You are a technically strong mechanical engineer with experience managing packaged equipment and coordinating across multiple stakeholders. You are comfortable reviewing detailed technical information and communicating clearly with both internal teams and external partners.
Skills & Experience

Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Typically 5+ years' experience in a mechanical engineering or package engineering role

Experience working with HVAC, cooling, or processrelated mechanical equipment

Background in one or more of the following industries:

Data centres
-
Building services / HVAC
-
Chemical or process plants
-
Energy, utilities, or industrial facilities
-
Strong organisational and documentation management skills

Confident communicator with vendors, contractors, and clients
-
Basic understanding of electrical, instrumentation and control requirements

Experience supporting installation and commissioning activities is highly desirable
