PV Generation is expanding our solar PV installation teams and we are looking for qualified electricians to join us on a full-time basis.
This role suits electricians who want steady work, strong earning potential and the opportunity to build a long-term career in solar PV. Solar experience is an advantage, but not essential, as training can be provided for the right qualified electrician.
This is a site-based role. Our electrical teams travel daily to solar installation projects nationwide.
This role may suit candidates based in Cavan town, Cootehill, Ballyhaise, Belturbet, Clones or surrounding areas who can travel to an agreed meeting point.
Pay: €52,000.00-€72,000.00 per year
What you will be doing:
- Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems on domestic, commercial and agricultural properties.
- Working to Safe Electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
- Carrying out electrical inspections, testing and maintenance on solar systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues on solar PV installations.
- Testing and verifying system performance using specialist equipment.
- Working closely with the lead electrician, roofing team and installation crew to complete projects on schedule.
- Speaking with homeowners or site contacts in a professional way and explaining the work being carried out when needed.
- Completing required job records, project documents and grant-related paperwork.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Supporting the wider team with additional duties where required.
What we are looking for
- Fully qualified electrician.
- Valid FETAC craft certificate.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels and Working at Heights certificates.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to travel daily to job sites as part of an organised crew.
- Able to meet the lead electrician, join a crew vehicle or attend the Scotstown base when required.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
- SEAI Solar PV course is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
