We are seeking a reliable and experienced warehouse professional to take ownership of evening shift operations. This role goes beyond standard forklift duties and requires someone who can confidently manage inbound and outbound loads, maintain high operational standards, and ensure the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse. Hours are Monday to Friday 3pm to 12am.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and accountability across all freight handling activities.
This role is ideally suited to someone looking to progress into a team lead or supervisory position over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of evening shift warehouse operations, ensuring all inbound and outbound loads are handled efficiently
- Unload and load trucks and trailers safely, accurately, and in line with operational priorities
- Manage and coordinate incoming and outgoing freight to maintain workflow and avoid delays
- Accurately scan all freight using company systems (inbound and outbound)
- Label, check, and verify all pallets against manifests to ensure full traceability
- Proactively identify and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
- Support continuous flow of goods by liaising with drivers and internal teams as required

- Valid forklift licence with proven, hands-on experience in a busy warehouse environment
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for workload and shift outcomes
- Strong awareness of warehouse operations, including goods-in/goods-out processes
- Calm, organised approach under pressure with the ability to prioritise effectively
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent in performance
- Proactive mindset with the confidence to identify and resolve issues
- Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment is highly desirable
