This role is essential within the manufacturing and production industry, ensuring that the machines responsible for producing filled bags runs smoothly and efficiently. As a Bag Machine Operator, your primary duties encompass the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance and product standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up bag machine according to product specifications. Ensure machine is set up properly; thread/align film, adjust bag length.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency. Identifies packaging defects quickly and make necessary adjustments immediately.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery. Responsible for the operation, packaging and quality of the bagging machine, Palletiser, conveyors, and stretch hooder.
- Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials and sizes.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and production specifications
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain production logs and report any operational issues.
- Collaborate with other operators and supervisors to optimize production processes.
- Manages changeovers quickly and assures that the production line continues to run smoothly and efficiently with no unnecessary delays.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Previous experience of operating Haver & Boecker or similar bagging machinery an extinct advantage. Good communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions
- Basic computer skills to enter data and maintain production records
- Training is available upon start date
Pay: €18.50-€24.00 per hour
