Wills Bros are currently seeking an experienced 20-Ton Digger Driver to join our team on a civil engineering project in Wexford, with a start date of Monday 7th September.
This role is suitable for a reliable and experienced operator with strong civil engineering or groundworks experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 20-ton excavator safely and efficiently, supporting site teams with excavation, drainage, ducting, trenching, loading and general civil works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 20-ton excavator safely and efficiently on site
- Carry out excavation, trenching, drainage, ducting and general civil works
- Use GPS machine control systems where required
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, groundworkers and site management
- Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects
- Follow site drawings, levels and instructions accurately
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety at all times
- Support a safe and tidy working environment on site
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a 20-ton digger essential
- Strong civil engineering or groundworks experience essential
- Valid CSCS Excavator ticket essential
- Valid Safe Pass essential
- Valid Manual Handling certificate essential
- Experience using GPS machine control systems preferred
- Fluent English essential
- Good understanding of site Health & Safety
- Ability to work well as part of a site team
- Full Irish driving licence essential
- Must have the right to work in Ireland full-time with no restrictions
