Founded in 2003 by John O'Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy, West Cork Distillers has grown into a team of more than 200 people. Our operations include our distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, and our second production facility, Donohoe Drinks, in Waterford.

The Role.
We are seeking a motivated and creative Assistant Brand Manager to join our growing marketing team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with a degree in marketing (or related field) who is eager to build a career in brand management within the premium spirits industry.
You will support the development and execution of brand strategies that enhance awareness, drive growth, and strengthen our presence both in Ireland and internationally.
This role offers hands-on experience across brand campaigns, product launches, packaging & point of sale executions, trade activations, and market insights.
What You'll Do.

Assist in the planning and execution of brand marketing campaigns across packaging, POS, digital, social, and in-store & on trade channels

Support new product development and launch activities, including packaging and positioning

Coordinate with internal teams (sales, production, and design) to ensure brand consistency

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities

Help manage social media content calendars and monitor performance metrics

Support the creation of marketing materials, including presentations, POS assets, and promotional content

Track and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of brand events, tastings, and activations
-
Manage event logistics including supplier coordination, timelines, and on-the-day support

What You'll Bring.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline

Strong interest in branding, storytelling, and the drinks industry

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Creative mindset with attention to detail

Good organisational and time management abilities

Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms

Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Internship or project experience in marketing or brand-related roles

Knowledge of the Irish whiskey category or premium FMCG sector

Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)

Interest or experience in event planning or coordination
