An established, growing company nestled on the Roscommon, Mayo and Galway border is appointing a Finance Manager to provide hands-on financial accounting, management accounting, commercial and strategic support to the business directors. If you are currently working in practice or industry, and you are competent in supporting owner-managed businesses with all aspects of financial and management accounting, including providing financial insights on costs or revenue to support decision making, and you’d now like the autonomy of being a business partner to the senior leadership team where you can help them grow the business, this is an excellent job for you.
In this broad, commercially focused Finance Manager job in a small to medium sized company, your responsibilities include:
- Monthly management accounts preparation and presentation to the senior leadership team
- Finance function management including invoice processing, credit control, bank reconciliations
- Produce month-end and year-end financial accounts
- Provide product, service and customer profitability insights to the senior leadership team
- Review costs across the company and implement measures to initiate cost savings
- Ensure sufficient cashflow and provide cashflow forecasts to the leadership team
- File statutory returns including VAT, VIES and other obligations
- Review existing finance processes and improve procedures and controls

To become the Finance Manager, you will have experience in management accounts preparation and a commercial mindset to advise on revenue generating and cost saving activities. You can hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or be qualified by experience from either industry or practice.
The package is between €60,000-€65,000 and offers you real work-life balance with flexible start and finish times along with hybrid working being open for discussion.
