Full job description

Established and successful, Midlands-based company located between Geashill and Portarlington engaged in the quarrying, motor trade and the machinery industry has identified a vacancy for a Bookkeeper/Office Administrator reporting directly to the owner.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare and issue invoices and monitor client payments.
Complete bank and account reconciliations.
Prepare and submit VAT returns to external accountant.
Process payroll for a team of fewer than 10 employees.

Requirements

Previous experience of at least 5 years in an account's role in Ireland.
Proficient in Microsoft Office systems and an accounting package (i.e. Big Red Book or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Work location on site and in person for all hours.
Capable of operating alone and under own initiative at a high level of trust in a remote environment.
Experience in construction/motor trade would be an advantage, but not essential.

Hours to be negotiated and excellent remuneration for suitable candidate
